We did it! 😀
This weekend, we went to our first official pumpkin patch as a Phamily and Brucie stayed awake! Well, for most of it, anyway. 😉 After posting about our first attempt at a pumpkin patch, I received a few replies from friends recommending Tanaka Farms in Irvine. They have a pumpkin field and a few activities, so I knew it was going to be awesome. My sister, Kaori, came up to visit so she captured most of these moments for us. (Thank you!)
We first went on a tractor ride to the petting zoo.
This was Bruce’s first time not being afraid to pet the animals.
On our tractor ride back to the patch, we got to see a pumpkin being shot out of a cannon which was completely unexpected and amazing!
Then we walked through the corn maze.
And once we got to the pumpkin field to pick out our pumpkins…
Bruce fell asleep! 🙂 I’m glad Kaori told us to take a picture with the pumpkins before we did all the other activities.
This was Brandon and Kaori’s first time picking out pumpkins from a pumpkin field so Kaori was very serious trying to find the perfect one. 😉
We took a few silly pictures in between finding our pumpkins. While taking this photo, I thought my head got stuck so I freaked out. Haha, that’s what I get for sticking it out so far and for having a big head!
Our pumpkin loot! Brandon’s first time hauling a wheelbarrow too! (Diana, thank you for doing this for Bruce and me last year! It’s hard work, especially with a lot more pumpkins!)
Tanaka Farms was amazing! 🙂 We all had so much fun! I’m now wanting to go back to pick our own veggies when Bruce is old enough to understand where vegetables come from. Thank you for the recommendations, friends! I’ll be back with a post on what we did with our pumpkins later today.
Lots of Smiles,
Akiyo

[…] Sadly, the hay ride was a bit disappointing because there wasn’t much farm to see compared to our Tanaka Farm experience last year. But that didn’t matter because Bruce was all about the train ride and […]
